Deceased and two other workmen were engaged in getting clay. They had undercut to a depth of 18 inches, and had then made a nick with a spade in the top and poured water therein with the object of making the clay fall over. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes before the dinner hour, the ground fell and caught deceased.
