- Details of Event
- Deceased was stoking a boiler, forming one of a range of five boilers, when a brick wall, 7 feet 6 inches high and 22 yards long, built for the purpose of holding back fuel from front of boilers, suddenly collapsed along its entire length and buried him. The falling wall broke off the boiler feed pipes, through which steam and boiling water was then emitted on to debris under which deceased was lying. He was dead when extricated an hour later.
