- 13 March 1915: Glencraig Brusher Killed – John Reilly, a brusher, lately residing at John Street, Crosshill, was killed on Saturday in Glencraig Colliery, of the Wilson and Clyde Coal Company. He had just started to work when a large stone fell from the roof, knocking him down and inflicting serious internal and external injuries. He died while being conveyed to the surface.
