1 July 1937: Glasgow Miner Fatally Injured - Matthew Reid (20), 23 Stoneyhurst Street, Glasgow, was fatally injured while at work yesterday in Garscube Colliery, Maryhill, Glasgow. He was crushed by a runaway hutch, and died while being conveyed to the Western Infirmary. [Scotsman 2 July 1937]
