- Deceased was working in a head 3 feet square, rising quickly toward the face. The head was in gob but at the face was coal. It was timbered with settings a yard apart over which were lagging and slabs. At the face a sprag had been set under the coal and deceased was preparing to get in a setting under the coal when two settings were pushed out letting down a quantity of loose gob above. Deceased was partly buried and was dead when got out his neck having been broken.
