He was working with a timberman cutting out ground for a side wall one side had been dressed back and this one was being prepared in the same way. When loosening a stone behind an arm a bump occurred which caused six pairs of timber to be discharged. These timbers although strongly lagged and heavily weighted with stone and rubbish, were loosened by the cutting out of the side and once started fell over like a pack of cards.
