- Details of Event
- Deceased was engaged in making a road over a fall at a long wall face in the Ten Feet seam. The roof had fallen to a height of some 8 or 10 feet at a fault parallel to the faces and deceased was redding a part of the debris away, when a further fall occurred. He slipped down the slope on which he was working and was jammed against a setting of timber about 4 feet wide and high. Before he could be released, more dirt fell, and he was crushed to death by the weight of it.
