Deceased was employed in erecting a coal hopper in connection with new coke ovens. He was standing on a scaffold consisting of three planks suspended by hangers made of 1-inch steel bars from part of the framework of the hopper. One of the hangers broke, and deceased fell to the ground, a distance of 34 feet. He died in the hospital on 1st April.
