Deceased was getting coal from beyond the last bar set, and as there was not sufficient width to set another bar, two centre props 3 feet apart were supporting the roof. He was getting coal from the face to make room for another bar when the roof fell from a slip at the face side, pushed out the two centre props, and killed him.
