On road, cliff, 24ft. by 8.5ft by 4.5ft thick. Deceased and a labourer were re-timbering a road that had become too low. He had been told by the fireman not to remove a pair of old timbers until he had put a new one in he however began to cut one of the arms, and had nearly succeeded when six pairs of timbers and the roof above collapsed and buried him. The roof was very much broken by the existence of a fault and by a recent heavy squeeze. Five feet seam.
