30 November 1926: Fife Miner Killed - An accident resulting in the death of a Kirkcaldy miner occurred at Loch head Pit, Coaltown of Wemyss, yesterday. The victim was Robert Pryde (46), who resided at Union Street, Kirkcaldy, and he met his death through an explosion during blasting operations. He leaves a widow and family of three.
