Inspection made and inquest attended. Deceased was an old man, and after going through a passbye to the other side of the shaft, he is said to have walked back and fallen into the sump. The gate and chain fencing was open, as they were about to starting to wind coal. He fell a distance of ten feet, and succumbed to the injuries received, March 3rd, 1906.
