- 18 December 1923: Miner Fatally Injured - James Prior, a miner living at 7 Heriot Mount, Edinburgh, yesterday succumbed to injuries received earlier in the day, through the fall of a roof in Klondyke Pit, New Craighall, near Edinburgh. Prior was found to be dead upon the arrival, at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, of the ambulance conveying him. [Scotsman 19 December 1923]
