Details of Event
Died from an injury received on January 9th last, which at the time was not considered serious. A water tub was being removed from the engine plane into an old engine house on the side of the road, and when it was passing through the door his hand was crushed. It was subsequently found that a bone in the back of his hand was broken, and marrow from the fracture passed into the blood stream to the heart and clogged the valves.
