- Two shots had been fired by the deceased deputy in the ripping lip and he and the contractor were getting down the shaken stone. A. large piece of stone appeared to be insecure and both men tried for some time to get it down but had not succeed. They then decided to set a prop under it and were doing so, when the piece of stone fell, bringing others with it, and both men were killed instantly. 2 killed.
