Deceased was taking a stranger along a haulage road to the shaft, when he walked into an ingoing empty journey. Deceased had been deceived when the journey started in. He thought it was back at the pit, whereas it was only 200yds away, and had been standing at that spot for some time. The road was of good width and height, and there were sufficient manholes.
