Deceased left his working place and started outbye for the pit a few minutes before ‘loose it’ and while haulage was still going on. He got in front of a loaded tub which was being brought out by hand down a slight incline. He hurried along to get out of the way but struck his head against a low bar in the roadway was knocked down and run into the load. He received injuries to the spine from which he died on the 31st.
