- Details of Event
- Deceased was breaking up stone at the lower end of the face in a drift in the Red Shagg. A piece of clod, 7 feet long, 2 feet wide and 1 foot thick, fell from a slip running along the deep side, and reeled a post. The edge of the fall knocked him down, causing a fracture of the thigh. Confinement to bed caused pneumonia to develop, and he died from this a month later.
