- Details of Event
- Died from injuries received when following his employment on October 5th, When the accident occurred the deceased was at a pass-bye at the bottom of a crossgate dipping 1 in 15. Three trammers were brining full tubs down the crossgate, the first 100 yards in front of the second and the third a few yards behind the second and as the last of these trammers was opposite a gate a fourth trammer came through a canvas sheet with a tub and the two tubs collided. The trammer immediately in front, expecting the tubs behind him to run down left hold of his, and the trammer in front of him hearing it running towards him also got out of the way and allowed both of the tubs to run towards the pass-bye where they caught the deceased and fatally injured him.
