Inspection made and inquest attended. They were engaged ripping roof down in a roadway and had advanced about six feet from the last bar to a slip when the roof gave way capping two bars and three stretchers, and killing them. At the inquiry it was suggested there should be better supervision of the men in this work. 2 killed.
