- Details of Event
- Deceased and his brother were taking up a 5.5-yard piece of coal at each side of an air-road which they were ripping and stowing the stone in the goaf. He had just commenced to hole at the face corner near the air road when a bump came over the place and a large quantity of stone from the roof fell upon and killed him. The fall came to a concealed slip and broke off to the pack and to fine partings in the stone in the air road.
