A length of face in the Heathen Coal had been holed and spragged, and at the way end the pikeman was drawing out the sprags to work off the coal from one side of the stall, when a sudden weight reeled out the settings in the road and brought down a large fall of roof. Deceased, who was leading a tub was buried by the fall and was dead when got out. The fall exposed a slip along one side of the road.
