- Details of Event
- Fall of roof at face, a bell of cliff, 5.5 feet in diameter by 28 inches thick, fell, and crushed his head. He had been absent from the face, eating his food, and was returning to recommence holing when the fall occurred. One prop was said to have been crushed out. There are a great many bells in this, the Forest Fach seam, which up to this time had been detected and secured.
