Deceased was preparing to wedge down some overhanging coal and clunch at the coal face when it came away prematurely and injured him so severely as to cause death within two hours. The piece which fell measured about 8 feet 6ninches by 2 feet by 2 feet 11 inches, and probably weighed a ton and a half.
