When throwing coal from the upper side of his working place, a fall of roof six feet by six feet by one loot, occurred between a slip and a joint and inflicted injuries from which he died on the 31st instant. The props appear to have been set under three feet apart, and three were displaced by the fall. A sudden "weighting" of the roof is said to have caused the displacement.
