- 27 August 1928: Miner's Premonition – Lochgelly Man's Tragic End - A sad occurrence took place in Minto Colliery, Lochgelly, on Monday night. Owen Bonnar, who resided at High Street, Lochgelly, died with tragic suddenness after working his first shift. He had been unemployed for two years, and had just restarted work.
