He was travelling the airway, which had been made over a fall of roof in the Three Yard seam, when another fall of roof occurred for about 6 feet in length. When extricated, he was found to be dead. The airway was alongside the old workings, and a slight feeder of gas was detected giving off where the fall of roof occurred.
