Crushed by machinery driving some of the screen and hauling plant. How he became entangled, and why he got inside the fence, is equally unexplained. He had been employed on another part of the machinery, away from, and outside this fencing, in the morning, but was supposed to have finished his work about the screens several hours before and to have returned to his ordinary duties, which were those of a general labourer.
