After finishing work for the day the deceased was sitting near the coal cutter, his feet being on the bridle. Owing to the machine working under drops of water from the roof, and water falling on the plug connection, a breakdown of the insulation of the leads occurred, the earth wire was either severed or too small to carry the current to earth, and the frame of the machine became electrically charged, and he received a fatal shock.
