- Details of Event
- Two or three minutes prior 10 the accident, deceased was observed to be using a pick and picking stones out of a heap near the quarry floor for the stone breakers. He was found lying on his back with the handle of the pick betwixt his legs, and underneath his head was a wedgeshaped stone. He had apparently been in the act of loosening a stone when the pick slipped and he fell backwards, striking his head against the sharp corner of the wedge-shaped stone referred to, and fractured his skull. He died on the same day.
