He climbed up on to a kieve and so on to a platform 7 ft. 6 ins. from the floor and was caught by some cog-wheels. He was somehow injured internally, and died on the 23rd March, 1911. He had no business to climb up on to the platform. If he had wanted to get up to the platform there was a short stepladder to close at hand and a lever by which he could have put the revolving cogwheels out of gear. Date of accident sometime in Sept.
