- On road shale about 15 t. by 8ft. by 12ft. thick. Deceased and his partner were clearing some rubbish from the side to make room for a pair of timbers. By doing this they must have disturbed the old timbers causing two collars to be crushed out. The shale at once fell and buried the two men who were not recovered for l.5 hours. Deceased's partner escaped with only a slight injury.
