Deceased and others had moved upwards the drum of a carriage incline and were testing the running of the carriage on which the deceased were. The rope came off the drum and fell on the axle and the consequent jerk drew the rope out of the socket or hose next to the back balance. The man at the brake was not able to hold the carriage which dashed to the bottom. The props which were usually set to prevent the rope getting off the drum had not been put up. 2 killed.
