Deceased was getting coal in a bord bank when a bump occurred, breaking down a portion of the roof between the timber and the face some 10 feet long and 3 feet wide. The long side of the stone came from a slip parallel to and coincident with the face. There was also an end slip. No timber or supports were displaced and the specified distance for setting timber was not exceeded. The place had been examined by a deputy 1.5 hours before, and reported safe.
