Details of Event
Fall of roof on breasting level about 20 yd from face of breasting in Rowhurst seam. The two men were shoving a loaded tub out from the face when a large stone fell from the roof. Hughes was killed on the spot and Parker died next day. It was a new district just opening out and appeared to be weighting. Some ripping had been done at the place without getting down the stone which fell. 2 killed.
