Deceased had strayed from his usual working place to the foot of so inclined road up which the empty tubs are raised by means of a creeper chain. He was seen to step backwards and drop into an opening in which tension wheel of the chain revolves, but before the machinery could be stopped his right leg had been caught by the chain and drawn over the wheel, and he sustained severe injuries from which he died on August 2lst. The machinery was inadequately protected.
