- Deceased and four others were putting on the pinion wheel of an electric pump. By some unexplained means the motor started, deceased’s trousers were caught by the wheels mid his left leg torn off. He died almost immediately. Three of the men present maintained that no one was near the switch when the motor started but when one of them switched off the current it immediately stopped.
