While engaged getting down roof in a roadway 5 yards from coal face, a stone 8 feet by 1 foot 9 inches by 9 inches thick, fell, displacing a prop. Deceased slipped and fell backwards, striking his head on some stones lying on the floor, and fractured his skull.
