Inspection made and inquest attended. They were enlarging the shaft mouthing and when one of his fellow workmen was loosening a prop a small quantity of dirt fell which caused deceased to rush towards the shaft and he stumbled and fell do pit and was killed owing to sufficient fences not being put to protect the shaft.
