Died February 6ef. A lift in workings of the Main Coal seam was nearly finished and the roof was probably weighting. While the puitter was taking in an empty tub it derailed at the turn and he was unable to move it. Both the foreshift and back deputies were with him trying to extricate it when a fall occurred injuring the putter and one of the deputies slightly. Local Inspectors were of the oppinion that the occurrence was purely accidental and that no blame attach to the officials.
