Died 17th November. While deceased was filling a tub round a prop at the coal face where the bottom was wet he slipped and fell against the prop and hurt his side. He was off work for some weeks and on restarting hewed a few days and then had lighter work given him. The doctor who attended him stated at the inquest that he died from tubercular pleurisy following upon the injury he received in the pit and the verdict of the jury was to the same effect.
