29 July 1937: East Lothian Miner Killed - John Ogg, a miner employed by Ormiston Coal Co. (Ltd.), was instantaneously killed yesterday in the underground workings of Aerfield Colliery, when a stone fell from the pit roof, crushing him to the ground. Mr Ogg, who was about 50 year of age was unmarried and resided with his sister at Limelands Road, Ormiston. He was for a long period secretary of the Ormiston Primrose Football Club.
