- Fall in main haulage brow whilst passing along to leave the mine. Fall 9 yards long 3 yards wide, 3 feet thick, brought down 5 bars 7 inches diameter placed on props at one side and well let into the rock in the other side. Apparently one side (that on which the bars were supported by props) was cut up by a previous settlement of the roof, a further settlement disturbed the bars and let down the hard rock roof. On one side a pillar 27.5 yards wide to goaf. This would be under crush and induce further settlement.
