Was riding along with others in tubs drawn by a pony, intending to leave the mine; when travelling about six miles an hour the first tub jumped off the rails, displaced a prop under a bar and let down a stone on the higher side of the road. Deceased must have jumped from the tub right under the stone, for it lay clear of the tub on the higher side. All the props under the bars are from 1ft. to 1ft. 6ins. clear of the tubs. Died 8th December. (Roof good).
