Deceased, with three others, had been shovelling baring dirt from a ledge and he fell to the bottom 60 feet below. They had just finished work and were proceeding to the surface up the step ladder when his foot slipped over the edge of the ledge and he fell to the bottom. The ledge was level and not smooth and was at one end and 3 feet at the other by 15 feet long.
