A sudden fall of coal, 7 yards long, 9 inches to 12 inches thick and 6 feet 5 inches high, knocked out 4 props. One prop struck deceased on the head and killed him instantly, and another struck and broke the right arm of a man who was working near him. The fall disclosed a pronounced sooty parting in the seam.
