Deceased was clearing up the face of a longwall drift past a fall, when a piece of dirt fell in a waste and rolled against him, causing injuries to the lower part of the body. He was seen by a doctor at the colliery, and the injury was not considered serious. He was removed to the hospital owing to internal injuries, and died from the effects of the same on July 6th.
