- Fall of roof at face of working place, from between a fault and a slip, both known. Inclination of seam 1 in 2.5, height of place 9 feet. The fall was 35 feet long, greatest width 19 feet, thickness 9 feet. Probably a sprag was being taken, as the coal fell the roof followed. It took 10 hours to recover one body. Chocks or a pack should have been placed under these conditions, simple props not sufficient. 2 killed.
