He was sitting at the bottom of the quarry near the face having a meal, when a stone was dropped over the face by a man who was working on the top. The stone struck deceased and killed him. No warning was given, as no one was thought to be in the bottom of the quarry at the time. It was a breach of the roles for the stone to be dropped, and deceased should not have been sitting in such a place.
