The floor had been taken up in a heading for the purpose of getting through a fault which made the place very high. While he was engaged putting in a lower setting of timber, some side weighted off near the roof and allowed the roof bars to give way. Timber and a large quantity of roof fell and broke down the lower setting, which caught the man and killed him.
